Jimmy Sullivan DEAD - The Rev Died - Avenged Sevenfold Drummer DEATH









Avenged Sevenfold drummer James Owen Sullivan is confirmed dead, cause of death for Jimmy Sullivan aka the Rev believed to be natural causes.

Sullivan is survived by wife Leana MacFadden aka Leana Silver.


News of Jimmy Sullivan’s sudden death Monday is leaving Avenged Sevenfold fans in shock tonight. Avenged Sevenfold came to glory in 2006 earning top honors that year from fans, music critics, and industry leaders. Sullivan would serve as both singer and drummer for the band.

Notable songs that Jimmy Sullivan sang on for Avenged Sevenfold included “A Little Piece of Heaven”, “Brompton Cocktail”, “Gunslinger”, “Lost”, “Afterlife”, and “Almost Easy”. Sullivan was also drummer with Suburban Legends.

Avenged Sevenfold would win 2006’s Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The Rev’s cause of death is believed to be natural causes. James Owen Sullivan would also be know as The Reverend Tholomew Plague, Rat Head, and Mr. Plague.

A drummer and back-up singer for Avenged Sevenfold, and singer for Pinkly Smooth, Jimmy Sullivan has been found dead Monday at his home in Huntington Beach, California.


The band confirmed his death Monday night:


“It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy ‘The Rev’ Sullivan.

“Jimmy was not only one of the world’s best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy’s family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time. Jimmy you are forever in our hearts. We love you.”

Funeral arrangements have not been announced. The Rev will be greatly missed. Send your love.
