Model and former beauty queen Solange Magnano, 38, died on Sunday after suffering a pulmonary embolism following a cosmetic procedure in Buenos Aires. She was Miss Argentina 1994.
She had undergone a gluteoplasty — a procedure also known as buttocks augmentation. The procedure is a fairly common plastic surgery procedure to improve the body contour.
Magnano underwent the procedure on Thursday and returned home to recuperate. She was rushed back to the hospital on Sunday when she began to have difficulty breathing and later died. An autopsy revealed that a blood clot traveled to her lungs and caused her death.
She leaves behind a husband and eight-year-old twins.
